確認審査及び更新審査 (Inspection for Confirmation and Inspection for Renewal of Registration of a Factory or a Plant)
　登録工場が SG 基準適合品を安定的に製造できることを確認するための審査で、定期的な確認審査（従来の定期審査）と臨時の確認審査（従来の事後審査）とがある。なお、確認審査において行う工場審査を確認工場審査といい、工場登録更新のための審査を更新審査という。
　An inspection to confirm that the registered factory or plant can stably manufacture the products meeting the applicable SG Standard. The inspection is conducted periodically or on an ad-hoc basis. Inspection of a factory or a plant is called a factory inspection. An inspection for the renewal of the registration is called inspection for renewal of the registration.
