SG基準詳細技術情報提供手数料の改定（10/1から）について Revision of the Fee for Providing Detailed Technical Information on SG Standards (Effective from October 1, 2024)

SG基準詳細技術情報をご提供する際の料金を、2024年10月１日から変更します。

SGマークの認証を得ずに「SG基準適合」、「SG基準試験合格」、「SG基準準拠」など、実際の基準への適合や信頼性が確かでないにもかかわらずSGマーク付き製品と混同するような表示が散見されていたことから、2022年１月からSG基準との適合性確認に必要な詳細技術情報の取得は申請いただくこととし、その情報を使って開発や試験等を行った場合でも上述のような表示を行わないことを条件としてご提供してきています。その際、政府、自治体、消費者団体、非営利団体等には無償で提供していますが、事業者へのご提供にあたっては、詳細技術情報、検査マニュアルそれぞれについて、１万円（税別）、５千円（税別）の手数料をいただいてまいりました。

諸経費の高騰のため、2024年10月１日より、提供方法を変更し、一つの品目のSG基準について、詳細技術情報と検査マニュアルの両者を合わせて３万円（税別、検査マニュアルがない品目においても同額）とさせていただきますのでよろしくお願いいたします。

なお、SG基準の制定・改正は、学識経験者、消費者団体、政府・自治体、検査協会、事業者他、多くの方々のご協力・ご貢献によって行われてきております。そのための費用は、SGマークをご利用くださる事業者、それもそのほとんどは中小企業の皆様にマーク代としてご負担を頂いております。弊協会は、世の中の製品安全の向上を使命としており、この観点で、より安全な製品の開発・普及のためにＳＧ基準詳細技術情報をご提供しておりますが、この情報を活用して商品化、或いは、調達などを行われる際は、ＳＧマーク制度の維持・発展のために、是非、ＳＧマークをご利用くださりますよう強くお願い申し上げます。

We will be changing the fee for providing detailed technical information regarding SG standards starting from October 1, 2024.

Due to instances of misleading representations such as “SG Standard Compliant,” “SG Standard Test Passed,” or “SG Standard Conforming” found on products not certified with the SG mark—thereby potentially confusing them with products that do meet the actual standards and reliability—since January 2022, acquiring detailed technical information necessary for confirming compliance with SG standards has been made conditional upon application. This information has been provided on the condition that it will not be used for the aforementioned types of misleading representations, even if it is used for development or testing purposes. While this information has been provided free of charge to governments, local authorities, consumer groups, and non-profit organizations, a fee of 10,000 yen (excluding tax) for detailed technical information and 5,000 yen (excluding tax) for inspection manuals has been charged to businesses.

Due to rising costs, from October 1, 2024, we will be changing the provision method, and for each item’s SG standards, we will charge a combined fee of 30,000 yen (excluding tax, the same amount applies even to items without an inspection manual). We kindly ask for your understanding.

Please note that the establishment and revision of SG standards have been made possible through the cooperation and contributions of scholars, consumer groups, governments and local authorities, inspection associations, businesses, and many others. The costs for these activities have been primarily borne by the businesses that use the SG mark, most of which are small and medium-sized enterprises, in the form of mark fees. The Consumer Products Safety Association is committed to enhancing product safety and, from this standpoint, provides detailed technical information on SG standards for the development and promotion of safer products. We strongly urge that when utilizing this information for commercialization or procurement, please make use of the SG mark to support the maintenance and development of the SG mark system.
